Lets Get wild!
About The Art Teachers
Welcome to the blog for Alicia's class at the PSD Lab school! We are so excited to have the opportunity to get to know the students and staff of such a wonderful school. Thank you for stopping in to see what we are working on in art class this semester! Every Friday for the next three months we will be working with Alicia's class to create our very own zoo. However, this zoo will not be like any other zoo in the world. Our goal for this zoo is to create habitats for individual animals while keeping their health and wellness as our top priority. Students will do this by researching all aspects of their animals behavior and needs to best design a habitat that fits these specific needs. Students will keep visual records of their research, findings, ideas, and plans in their sketchbook while they work through the creative process of designing an exhibit. By working on their individual animal exhibits, students will work collaboratively to create an all around animal conscience zoo! Through this project students will learn skills that are transferable to all academic areas such as intentional design, sequencing, problem solving, and collaboration.

Lindsey Cremin:
Hello Lab school parents! Let me tell you a little bit about me. I am from Chicago and have been involved with art since before I can remember. Painting and drawing are among my favorite past times along with running, swimming, yoga, and simply being in good spirits with good people. I have been an art education student with a concentration in painting at CSU for the last four years. Wow, time flies! When I am not in school, I usually spend my time reading and doing my best to discover new interests. I can not wait to have a great semester at the lab school! |
